May 27, 2010 -- The Board of St. Petro Mohyla Institute is pleased to announce that Deborah Ehmann has been appointed to serve as the Executive Director of the Institute, effective May 17, 2010.
Deb brings a demonstrated, solid record of leadership, work experiences,
achievements, skill sets, and personal attributes considered highly
essential to the position of Executive Director of the Institute.
Working in close collaboration with, and being directly accountable
to the Board, Deb will provide leadership and be responsible for
the development and management of the Institute’s strategic plan,
business plan, budget, and performance measures to help ensure that
expected outcomes are achieved.
Deb’s career constellation over more than twenty years includes
the following: owner and operator of mixed farm operations; Signed
English Interpreter for hearing impaired children; part-time administrator,
Real Estate Institute of Saskatchewan; Social Services worker, Farm
Stress Unit of Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food; Executive Director
(secondment), Canadian Agriculture Safety Association; Manager,
Pork Interpretive Gallery; Manager, Certified General Accountants
Association (CGA) member programs and student services; Senior Human
Resource Manager, Athabasca Catering Partnership Limited; and more
recently, Human Resource Manager for The Home Depot in Saskatoon.
In addition to the above, Deb also served one term as the Mayor
of the Town of Dundurn. Deb achieved a Business Administration Certificate
(BAC) from the University of Sakatchewan, and a Canadian Institute
of Management Designation (CIM).
Currently, Deb is the Area Governor for Toastmasters International,
District 47, and also served as the treasurer for District 42. In
the sphere of volunteerism, Deb served as a director with Credit
Union Central of Saskatchewan; member of the executive for the Democratic
Process, Governance, Conference and Government Policy Committee;
and executive committee member of the Action Committee on the Rural
Economy (ACRE), and Co-Chair of the Monitoring Committee.
Deborah is a proud mother of three children, and she has five grandchildren.
Her motto is “Life is a journey, embrace it.” The Ukrainian culture
continues to be an important part of Deb’s life.
The Board is also pleased to note that Deb will be a “live-in”
Executive Director, taking up residence at Institute this June.
