March 3, 2010 -- St. Petro Mohyla Institute in
Saskatoon has a distinguished record of more than nine decades of
service to the Ukrainian Orthodox community, to the Canadian community-at-large,
and internationally, as a "home-away-from home" residence for post-secondary
students, and for promoting Ukrainian language and cultural development.
The Institute has capacity for 55 residents, and is conveniently
located just three blocks south of the University of Saskatchewan
Campus.
The Board of Directors is recruiting for a dynamic, results-oriented
Executive Director to lead the Institute. The ideal candidate will
be a disciplined self-starter with a demonstrated record of leadership,
communications and interpersonal skills, and a sound working knowledge
of the Ukrainian language and culture. Demonstrated ability to work
effectively with post-secondary students, parents and the Ukrainian
community-at-large is highly essential for this leadership position.
The ideal candidate will have an integral responsibility to lead
and foster the Institute as a recognized player in the learning
and cultural community within Saskatoon as well as within the Ukrainian
Orthodox community in Saskatchewan. Abilities to provide sound financial
management, marketing/recruitment, fund raising initiatives, production
of creative and timely newsletters, and the ability to apply communication
technologies in the Institute's operations are highly essential.
The Executive Director will also to play an integral role in the
Institute's extracurricular educational and cultural programs for
high school students and/or young adults from across Canada and
the U.S.A.
Completion of an undergraduate degree relevant to this position,
coupled with at least five years germane work experience would be
preferred.
