Employment opportunity at St. Petro Mohyla Institute: Executive Director

August 30, 2005 -- St. Petro Mohyla Institute is a Ukrainian non-profit organization serving the Saskatchewan community and post-secondary students through housing, cultural activities and community programming. Situated three blocks from the University of Saskatchewan, it provides room and board for 55 residents and acts as a base for various cultural, recreational and educational programs.

The Board of Directors is currently recruiting for an Executive Director. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations with a staff of four this position also works closely with the Board on budgeting, student recruitment, program development and fund raising. Planning and operating a five-week summer Ukrainian language immersion program for high school students is also part of the mandate.

Candidates must have a strong communications and interpersonal skill in dealing with students and the public at large. A Ukrainian Orthodox background and knowledge of the Ukrainian language and culture would be a definite asset. Administrative experience and computer skills are preferred. The successful candidate is expected to be resident at Mohyla. A suite is provided.
