August 11, 2008 -- UCC-SB is looking to hire teachers for the fall sessions.

We will be offering the following classes:

• Level I (beginner)
• Level II (intermediate) and
• Level III (advanced)

Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm and Saturday morning from 10:00am-1:00 pm.

English as a Second Language Instructor

Qualifications:

B.Ed., CERTESL or TESOL certificate, overseas teaching experience, or equivalent combination. Knowledge of Ukrainian an asset.

Duties:

• Teach English to adult Ukrainian immigrants
• Using available resources, establish a topic-based curriculum to assist immigrants in the integration into Canadian culture and society
• Plan lessons
• Report attendance
• Administer tests periodically to track learners’ language progress
• Work closely with ESL Coordinator
