Ukraine Day in the Park Volunteer Opportunities

April 7, 2008 -- Three basic levels for volunteer involvement, learning and fun!

  1. Planning Committee: meetings are held monthly beginning in October with two meetings per month beginning in May as needed. Role includes participating in planning and ensuring implementation of adopted plans.
  2. Sub-committee member: Meet with sub-committee chairperson as required to develop plans and assist with implementation as needed.
  3. Volunteer before and at event: work in various areas to set-up and run the event for fixed time allocations.

Volunteer requirements before the event

  1. Put up posters
  2. Help decorate float for Ex. Parade

Volunteer requirements at the event

  1. Set-up in the morning: 8 volunteers @ 3hrs each, 9:00a.m. to noon
  2. Marking out parking spaces: 2 volunteers@ 3hrs each, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00a.m.
  3. Token sales: 20 volunteers in 2hr. shifts starting at 11:00 to 10:00 p.m.
  4. Entrance gate attendant: 12 volunteers @ 2hr. shifts from 11: a.m. to 10: p.m.
  5. Token runner: 5 volunteers @ 2hr. shifts from 11: a.m. to 10: p.m
  6. Clean-up after event 4 volunteers @ 1 hr. each.

  1. Souvenir sales coordinator
  2. Food services supervisor
