Finance Minister Goodale and UCC Regina welcome immigrants from Ukraine

On May 2, 2004, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Regina Branch, hosted a "Meet & Greet" event, which included many of the recent immigrants from Ukraine to Regina. Also attending were leaders of the various organizations which make up the UCC Regina Branch.

Attending as a special guest was Canada's minister of Finance, the Honourable Ralph Goodale who greeted the attendees and delivered a short address to them.Included in his address was his belief that we will see in the coming year and, at least, on an annual basis meetings occurring between Prime Minister Paul Martin and the leadership of the national Ukrainian Canadian Congress.

Also addressing the crowd was UCC Regina Branch President, Orest Warnyca and UCC - Saskatchewan Provincial Council President, Eugene Krenosky.
